FTAC

So all First Term Airmen have to attend a course called (take a wild guess) First Term Airman’s Course (Creative…). I attended my course last week (Jan 19-22).
Basically it’s just a big “Welcome to the Air Force, and Welcome to your first base.” It is just a week long “class” where a bunch of people come and brief you and you’re just catching word vomit.

We met with the Commander’s, First Sergeants, Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC), Legal, Finance, Equal Oppurtunity (EO), etc. We had a day where we visited the Chapel, the Airman’s Attic, and the Clinic.

There were only 7 people in my class, which is like super duper rare.

Douglas (EOD), Shriver (Structures), Mire (SF), Erazo (Maintenance), Wilson(Maintenance), Schulte (Comm).

Erazo and Shriver were my pals for the week. We even went bowling the Friday concluding FTAC.

I learned alot. I retained very little.

Things I did retain:

• Minot commanders are cool as hell.
• Legal seems to have their shit together.
• Make sure you don’t sit in your room all day. Get out there.

Thus far, I don’t hate it here. It’s been a mild winter, so i’m liking it so far.
