So, I just looked back at the old posts from before this year, and I’m desperately due for an update about my life. This should be quick and to the point, but sometimes I tend to ramble on about things so… see…. it might be longer.
If you read this post it talks about my journey home from tech school. (Which, da*n that was already four years ago….) and I talk about my ex-husband (who I was married to at the time I wrote it), so just to tell that story in a few words. We just didn’t work out. It’s not that we didn’t get along, it’s not that we didn’t love each other… we just didn’t work as a married couple. He became more of a friend than a lover, and is still a great friend to this day. Our divorce was very civil (mostly) and it worked out for the both of us. He’s still in my life today. He separated from the Air Force and moved back home and took Diesel and Copper with him, so he’s taking care of my baby of course he’s a part of my life still.
Okay, next.
Minot AFB was my first assignment and it was seriously the biggest blessing in disguise. I realized it while I was still there, but it just took a while. I learned SO much about myself as a human being, as a member of my family, as an Airman…. just SO much.
I met Victor in Nov. 2017 — I tell our story here (future link).
I deployed in April 2018 — here’s a story about that (future link).
While I was deployed Victor got orders to Offutt! When I got back from my deployment, and back from visiting family at home, he (kinda) proposed by saying “going to Omaha wouldn’t be the same without you. Will you come with me?” And for me to go with him, it meant we were getting married, so right away I knew what he was saying!!!
Okay so, come April 2019 we started the PCS process and got to Omaha at the end of the month. We have slowly settled in and are happy and thriving here.
NEXT — MOST IMPORTANT UPDATE OF MY LIFE (to this point)
We’re expecting our first babyyyyyyyyyyy!! If you haven’t read that story, it’s here. (future link again).
For the first time in a long time, I can say I’m happy. Actually happy. Like, everyday. Like, I don’t cry anymore.

Here’s our most recent groupie — Lancers game Oct 12, 2019.
